The Director of Adult Social Services submitted a report responding to the deputation to the Council meeting on 21^st February 2007 with regard to the provision of support to adults with Aspergers Syndrome in Leeds.  The report outlined the current situation in Leeds with regard to the provisions of services to adults with Aspergers Syndrome and proposed the establishment of a Steering Group for Adults with Autism and Asperger Syndrome

RESOLVED –

(a)  That the report be noted;

(b)  That a letter outlining the concerns of the deputation be sent to Leeds PCT; and

(c)  That the proposal to establish a steering group for Adults with Asperger Syndrome be approved.
