The Director of Environment and Housing for Waste Management has approved the extension of the existing contract which deals with the residual wastes collected from the kerbside of Leeds domestic properties subject to negotiations around price resulting in the same or better than current. The extension is to provide a continued outlet for this waste until the PFI Energy from waste facility is fully operational. (Currently scheduled for 2016)
