Purpose:
The Director of Adult Social Services is requested to waive Contract Procedure Rules 9.1 and 9.2 to enter into a two year contract for two dementia services provided by the Alzheimer’s Society - a day service and an outreach service for young people with dementia, with effect from 1st October 2014 to 30th September 2014.
Decision:
The Deputy Director, Adult Social Care, approved the recommendation to waive CPRs 9.1 and 9.2, using the authority set out in CPR 1.3, to enter into a contract with Alzheimer’s Leeds for the provision of; a day opportunities and an outreach service for younger people with dementia for 2 years from 1st October 2014 to 30th September 2016. The contract has an annual value of £180,500 with the addition of £112,000 transferred to ASC via a s256 agreement from NHS - provisions are available within the agreed budgets. The Commissioning Officer will oversee implementation of the contract.
