Decision details

The Acting Head of Transport Policy:

i) authorised the detailed design and subsequent implementation of a scheme to introduce a 20 mph zone and associated works in the Ivesons area of Weetwood, specifically roads contained within the boundary of Otley Old Road, Ring Road West Park A6120, Iveson Drive and Hospital Lane, with the exception of Spen Lane;

ii) gave authority to incur expenditure of £18,000, which comprises of £12,000 works costs, £4,000 staff fee costs and £2,000 legal fee costs, all to be funded from the LTP Transport Policy Capital Programme.

ii) Requested the City Solicitor to:
a) advertise a draft Speed Limit Order, to introduce a 20 mph zone in the Ivesons area of Weetwood, as shown on drawing TMW/32/1989/CON/1a;

b) advertise a draft Traffic Regulation Order to:

i. introduce a formal restriction, (Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm), on the existing school keep clear markings outside Iveson Primary School, on Iveson Rise and Iveson Drive as shown on drawing TMW/32/1989/CON/5a; and

ii. introduce ’No Waiting At Any Time’ restrictions at the junctions of Iveson Approach/Rise and Luttrell Crescent/Iveson Rise as shown on drawings TMW-32-1989-CON-4 & 5a.
