Purpose:

Approval to seek new prices for the Recycling and composting framework contract prior to the 2nd year call off together with a variation of the contract to allow direct deliveries of similar waste streams by Localities teams and Parks and Countryside

Decision:

The Director of Environment and Housing has approved the decision to call for new prices for the existing framework contract for the the recycling and composting of a range of waste streams (primarily collected through kerbside brown bin collections and HWSS’s)

Furthermore the decision to allocate tonnages to those contractors offering the best value for money option for the Council using the original evaluation methodology has been approved.

Finally the decision to vary the contract to allow the direct delivery of wastes by Localities and Parks and Countryside teams has also been approved.
