To authorise the expenditure of approximately £350k (final cost estimate awaited, will be included within the content of the scheme specific DCR) to facilitate the supply of modular classroom buildings at Bramham Primary School. This is required to fulfil the aims of the Learning Places Programme, necessary to ensure sufficient pupil places. The increase in pupil numbers will be effective from September 2016. The budget estimate quoted includes all necessary construction works to facilitate this project, professional design fees, professional surveys and any necessary decant required to facilitate September 2016 occupation.
The Head of Learning Systems agreed to:
· authorise expenditure of £470,385 from capital scheme number 32274/BGE/BRA to enable the installation of additional accommodation, including any ancillary works, at Bramham Primary School;
· authorise acceptance of the tender submitted by the Leeds Local Education Partnership in the sum of £351,207, including all design and development fees;
· note the programme dates identified in section 4.0 of the attached report in relation to the implementation of this decision. The final delivery date for this scheme is prior to the commencement of the 2016 September term; and
· note that the officer responsible for implementation is the Built Environment Principal Development Officer.
