Purpose:

Key Decision (value is in excess of £250,000 and will impact on communities city-wide) to approve the procurement strategy and the overall scope and budget for contracts to deliver planned investment to council housing stock from March 2018.

Decision:

Key Decision to request approval for the overall strategy, scope and budget for contracts to deliver planned investment to council housing stock from 1 April 2018.

 

In line with the decision made by the February 2015 meeting of the council’s Executive Board, and to ensure an appropriate mix of service provision across the city and reduce risk for the council, the Planned Works 2018 (PW2018) procurement will be divided into five packages, providing a combination of internal arrangemnts and external procurements.

 

The report recommends that the Director of Environment & Housing:

·  Approves the procurement strategy and the overall scope and budget for contracts to deliver planned investment to council housing stock from 1st April 2018.

·  Approves the proposed budget (funded through HRA) over a four year term of up to circa £160m (£40m per annum).

·  Notes that Housing Category Board have provided their support to the procurement strategy, scope and budget via a report presented on 12th September 2016.
