Purpose:
To increase nursery fees from £41 a day to £43 per day in January 2017, then £45 per day in September 2017.
Decision:
The Director of Children’s Services approved the proposal to increase child care fees in council funded child care by £2 to £43 per day from 1st January 2017, with a further increase to £45 per day from 1st September 2017 as the extended free early education off for 3 and 4 year olds is introduced.

Consultation around the quality of services and childcare is undertaken on a regular basis. Consultation on an increase in fees has been undertaken with centre managers as part of sustainability work. A consultation with parents has not been directly undertaken although feedback from previous years has been included in the budget planning process.
