Decision details

Bridgewater Place Settlement Agreement

Reference: D43921

Decision Maker: Director of City Development

Is Key decision?: Yes

Is subject to call in?: No

Purpose:

To agree the terms of the settlement agreement relating to the expenditure that has been incurred by LCC in providing temporary mitigation measures to safeguard highway users from the impact of the wind generated nuisance caused by the Bridgewater Place Building pending the introduction of permanent measures by the Building Owner.

Decision:

Bridgewater Place Settlement Agreement

Reason Key: Affects more than 1 ward;

Wards Affected: City and Hunslet;

If exempt from Call-In, the reason why Call-In would prejudice the interests of the Council or the public:: A key decision may be exempt from Call In if the decision taker considers that any delay in making it would seriously prejudice the Council’s or the public’s interests. A delay in entering into the documents referred to in this report would mean that the carrying out of the wind amelioration measures would be further delayed with the result that members of the public would continue to be exposed to high winds and that further road closures would be required. As the documents referred to in this report have only recently been settled it has not been possible to take the decisions referred to any sooner.
