Purpose:
To accept grant funding to extend resettlement programmes in the Yorkshire and Humber region. Grant funding would be received from the Home Office and re-distributed by the Council to local authorities and delivery partners throughout the Yorkshire and Humber region to provide housing and associated integration assistance to participants in the resettlement programme
Decision:
1. The Assistant Chief Executive (Citizens and Communities):
Agrees to extend delivery of resettlement programmes in the Yorkshire and Humber region to include the Vulnerable Children’s Resettlement Scheme as described below:
1.1Follow on from the Key Decision of the 8th April 2016 and accept a Funding Instruction/ Grant Agreement with the Home Office to deliver the Vulnerable Children’s Resettlement Scheme
1.2Vary the current Local Authority Partnership Agreements for the current resettlement programmes to allow for the Vulnerable Children’s Resettlement Scheme with other Yorkshire and Humber Local Authorities
1.3Vary the grant funding agreement with third sector organisations to deliver the resettlement programmes.
Noting that the arrangements described above are Migration Yorkshire’s understanding of the arrangements at the date of this report.
