The Director of Communities and Environment agreed to
1. Introduce a limit on the value of discounted lettings to be approved by each Community Committee in 2017/18. The limit to be set at 75% of the value of free lettings approved in 2015/16 in each Community Committee area. All hirers will pay a minimum of 25% of the published community rate.
2. Set out criteria which indicate the type of hirer who can benefit from a discounted letting. Statutory, private and commissioned organisations will not be able to benefit.
3. Introduce a cost recovery model of charges for LCC funded services such as Good Neighbours’ Schemes, along with LCC internal services such as Youth Services.
