Purpose:

Approval of a 2% uplift on Independent Sector Residential and Nursing Care fees. 

Decision:

The Director of Adults and Health approved the interim uplift payments to the older people residential and nursing care fees of 2% for the period from the 20th December 2016 to the 31st March 2017 and then a further 2% from April 1st 2017 to December 19th 2017 whilst the Cost of Care exercise is completed for this period.

All providers as part of the Mazars cost of care exercise are going through the process of submitting cost of care templates stating how their costs have varied during the past year. It was agreed with providers that once the exercise is complete this will be the basis on which the future fee review calculation is carried out. Whilst this is ongoing an interim payment is being made.
