Purpose:

The Director of Adults and Health is asked to approve a new weekly fee for the lndependent Sector Older People's Care Homes.

 

Decision:

The Director of Adults and Health approved the uplift payments to the Older Peoples residential and nursing care fees for the periods from the 20th December 2016 to the 31st March 2017 and April 1st 2017 to December 19th 2017.


The Head of Contracts and Business Development, Adults and Health will implement this decision directly after it has been taken, subject to the necessary clearance process being completed.  This will be done by issuing relevant letters to the organisations informing them of the increase and making the backdated payments for the new fees to all relevant care homes within the Leeds City boundary.

Negotiation meetings have been held with Provider Representatíves on the Care Home Strategic Advisory Group and further consultation willtake place with all Older People's Care Homes prior to the contract expiration date of 19th December 2017.

Cath Roff, Steve Hume, John Crowther, David McNutt, Peter Hodkinson, Chris Ball, James Oates, Karen Reynolds and all other independent sector older people's care homes. The Strategíc Advisory Group comprising of Councillor Charlwood, Councillor Blackburn, Councillor Golton, Councillor Latty, Councillor Varley, Age UK Leeds, Healthwatch Leeds (service user representative) and CCG representative will also be consulted.
