Purpose:

To implement a new service structure within the Children’s Services directorate.

Decision:

The Deputy Director, Safeguarding, Specialist & Targeted Services agreed to:

·  note the progress in implementing the reforms

·  note that the DfE has made a grant available to support implementation

·  agree to the appointment of:

o  three additional educational psychologists

o  one Funding for Inclusion Co-ordinator for personal budgets work

o  two project support officers in the Complex Needs Best Practice Team to support implementation of the reforms across all three major workstreams. These posts will be required for three years as a minimum.

·  note that the officer responsible for implementing the decision is the Head of Complex Needs.
