Purpose:

The Director of Adult Social Care is recommended to approve the procurement of Leeds Sensory Support Service which will take place during 2016.

Decision:

The Director of Adult Social Services approved the recommendation to commission a new Sensory Impairment Support Service to commence from 1st April 2017; and gave authority to proceed with a procurement process, as outlined in this report and in line with CPR 9.5, to appoint a suitable provider to deliver the service.

The officer responsible for implementing the decision will be the Adult Commissioning Manager. PPPU will be requested to undertake the procurement exercise and a further report to approve the contract award will be submitted for approval at the end of the procurement process.
