The Chief Officer (Highways and
Transportation):
i) noted the highway works as outlined in Section 3.1.3 and
indicated on Drawing Number 732489/LCC/HWT/XX/DR/EP/GA_01_ at an
estimated cost of £354,000;
ii) gave authority to negotiate the terms of and enter into an
agreement with the developer under the provisions of Section 278 of
the Highways Act 1980; whereby the works associated with the
development are carried out by this Council at the cost of the
developer;
iii) gave authority to tender and implement the works as set out in
Section 3.1.3;
iv) gave authority to incur expenditure of £310,000 works
costs and £44,000 staff costs to be fully funded by a section
278 developer contribution; and
v) approved an injection of an additional £354,000 into the
City Development Capital Programme to be fully funded by the
developer.
