Purpose:

The approval to go out to tender and award contract for the supply, maintenance and repair of overhead tracking hoists in private properties and the maintenance and repair of mobile hoists and stand aids, specialised bathing equipment in L.A Residential and Day Care establishments. The current contract expires on 30th November 2018.

Decision:

The Director of Adults and Health approved the recommendations:

·  To approve the authority to procure a new contract for the supply of overhead tracking hoists and the repair, service and maintenance of various items of equipment for daily living

·  Implementation discussions will take place with the suppliers once the contract is awarded

·  The proposed timescale for implementation is 1 December 2018

The estimated value of the contract is £361,000
