APPEALS AGAINST REFUSAL OF INSPECTION OF DOCUMENTS

To consider any appeals in accordance with Procedure Rule 25 of the Access to Information Procedure Rules (in the event of an Appeal the press and public will be excluded)

 

(*In accordance with Procedure Rule 25, written notice of an appeal must be received by the Head of Governance Services at least 24 hours before the meeting)

 

Minutes:

There were no appeals against refusal of inspection documents in accordance

with Procedure Rule 19 of the Access to Information Procedure Rules.

EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC

To resolve that the public be excluded from the meeting under the terms of Access to Information Procedure Rule 10.4(1) and (2) and on the grounds that, in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information by reason of the need to maintain the competitive nature of the interview process and to retain information submitted by individual applicants in confidence, as disclosure could undermine the process, future appointment processes, or the outcome on this occasion to the detriment of the Council’s and public interest.

 

Minutes:

RESOLVED - That the public be excluded from the meeting under the terms

of Access to Information Procedure Rule 10.4(1) and (2) and on the grounds

that, in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the

7.

DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

To disclose or draw attention to any disclosable pecuniary interests for the purposes of Section 31 of the Localism Act 2011 and paragraphs 13-18 of the Members’ Code of Conduct.  Also to declare any other significant interests which the Member wishes to declare in the public interest, in accordance with paragraphs 19-20 of the Members’ Code of Conduct.

Minutes:

Although no formal declarations of interest were made, Councillor Yeadon

advised the Committee that she had prior knowledge of some of the

candidates involved in the process, due to her role as the Council’s Executive

Member for Adult Social Care, whilst Councillor Lowe advised the Committee

that she had prior knowledge of a candidate involved in the process, due to

her role as Chief Executive of a community organisation.

8.

APPOINTMENT TO THE POSITION OF CHIEF OFFICER (ADULT SOCIAL CARE REFORMS)

To undertake the shortlisting exercise for the position of Chief Officer (Adult Social Care Reforms).

 

(The substantive information for the meeting will be provided to the Committee by HR at the earliest opportunity)

Minutes:

Sandie Keene, Director of Adult Social Services was in attendance for this item, in an advisory capacity.

 

Following the consideration of the application details for those candidates which had been long listed for the position of Chief Officer (Adult Social Care Reforms), it was

 

RESOLVED – That 5 applicants for the position of Chief Officer (Adult Social Care Reforms) be short listed for formal interview.
