APPEALS AGAINST REFUSAL OF INSPECTION OF DOCUMENTS

To consider any appeals in accordance with Procedure Rule 15.2 of the Access to Information Procedure Rules (in the event of an Appeal the press and public will be excluded)

 

(*In accordance with Procedure Rule 15.2, written notice of an appeal must be received by the Head of Governance Services at least 24 hours before the meeting)

 

Minutes:

There were no appeals against the refusal of inspection of documents.

EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC

To resolve that the public be excluded from the meeting under the terms of Access to Information Procedure Rule 10.4(1) and (2) and on the grounds that, in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information by reason of the need to maintain the competitive nature of the interview process and to retain information submitted by individual applicants in confidence, as disclosure could undermine the process, future appointment processes, or the outcome on this occasion to the detriment of the Council’s and public interest.

 

Minutes:

DECLARATION OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS

To disclose or draw attention to any disclosable pecuniary interests for the purposes of Section 31 of the Localism Act 2011 and paragraphs 13-16 of the Members’ Code of Conduct.

There were no declarations of Disclosable Pecuniary Interests made.

APPOINTMENT TO THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF ADULT SOCIAL SERVICES

To undertake the respective short listing exercise for the position of Director of Adult Social Services.

 

(Application details will be provided to Members of the Employment Committee prior to the meeting)

Minutes:

The Chief Officer HR was in attendance in an advisory capacity.

 

The Committee undertook the formal recruitment process (shortlisting) for the permanent position of Director of Adult Social Services.

 

 

RESOLVED – That five of the recommended applicants be invited to an assessment centre followed by the Employment Committee on the 16th December 2014.
