• Note that after undertaking an extensive procurement
process, no bids were submitted by companies wishing to undertake
bespoke design and construction work to renovate the aquarium at
Tropical World.
• Approve that Contract Procedure Rule No 3.1.7 (Requirement
to use an Approved Framework Agreement), and Contracts Procedure
Rules No 8.1 and 8.2 (Intermediate Value Procurements) be waived in
order to appoint two external companies to support the Parks and
Countryside Service, who are acting as principle contractor, to
deliver the project as per the original programme and budget.
• Place orders to:
- Sustainable Sources in the sum of £75,966.
- DCR Theming in the sum of £45,000.
