The Director of Public Health approved the
request to waive Contracts Procedure Rules 8.1 and 8.2 to enter
into a 12 month contract with 15 pharmacies to deliver a Needle
Exchange Service from 1st April 2015 to 31st March 2016 at an
annual cost of £45,000.
This decision was approved in order to ensure continuity of service
for vulnerable clients receiving needle exchange services, whilst a
review of the service is undertaken.
