Request the waiver of Contract Procedure Rules
(CPRs) 9.1 and 9.2 (high
value procurements) and directly award a new 1 year contract (with
the option to extend for up to 36 months) to Leeds Occupational
Health Advisory Service (LOHAS) for an occupational health support
service for employees of small and medium sized businesses at a
cost £48,010 per annum.
Directly awarding a new contract to LOHAS to start 1st April 2017
will mean that there is no service disruption, and GPs and
employees will continue to receive help that they require to enable
individuals to remain in or return to the workplace and address
their health needs.
As a direct result of the Public Health grant cuts announced by the
Government in 2015, this report also seeks to note the reduction of
5% in the contract value of this new contract in line with the
Public Health contracts strategy
