As a direct result of the Public Health Grant cuts announced by the Government, the Director of Public Health has given approval to reduce the annual contract value of the Community Drug and Alcohol Prevention, Treatment and Recovery Service (known as Forward Leeds) by £170,000 (2%) p.a. from £8,499,730 p.a. to £8,329,730 p.a.. The reduction will apply from 1 July 2016 with a full annual amount being realised in 2016/17 as follows :

Discussions are ongoing to identify, agree and implement further annual savings equating to 10% of the original contract value with effect from 1 April 2017. The outcome of these discussions will be the subject of a separate report and DDN later in the year.

This is required to fulfil the aims of the Learning Places Programme, necessary to ensure sufficient pupil places. The increase in pupil numbers will be effective from September 2016. The budget estimate quoted includes all necessary construction works to facilitate this project, professional design fees, professional surveys and any necessary decant required to facilitate a late August 2016 occupation. Chapel Allerton Primary School has been identified as the epicentre of projected pupil place demand within the Chapel Allerton ward.

The contract shall commence on the 1st September 2016. The mainstream providers contract will expire on 31st August 2017 with the option to extend for a further three periods of 12 months.

 

The Director of Children’s Services approved the award of a contract to new providers, not listed in appendix 1, in exceptional circumstances where the individual students needs cannot be met by any of the providers listed in appendix 1.

23/06/2016 - Children's Transport Cooperation Agreement with West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) ref: 43490    

To enter into a new cooperation agreement with WYCA to ensure that the parties co-operate in the broadest sense and establish a framework under which they agree responsibilities to achieve the provision of high quality transport services for school children whilst at the same time securing best value for expenditure on public passenger transport as a whole in the Leeds City Council local authority area. The decision is key due to the value of the decision.
