Consultation process

The recent Fuel Poverty Scrutiny requested that the Director of Environment and Neighbourhoods develop a proposal to launch a bulk fuel purchasing project for Leeds.  A grant competition to support this was announced by DECC on the 19th October with a closing date of 30th November.  There has therefore been very limited time for consultation after this announcement, but the proposal, developed jointly with other LCR authorities and CO2Sense, is based on learning from other bulk purchasing initiatives in the UK and the recommendations from Scrutiny.  The proposal will be discussed with the Home Energy Project Board prior to Exec Board.
