Outcome of consultation on proposals to increase school provision

Part A: Outcome of consultation on proposal to retain Guiseley Infant School as a 3 form entry Infant School that has an admission number of 90 into reception each year; develop a through school with junior capacity on the site of Guiseley High School, with an admission number of 90 into Year 3; convert St Oswald’s Junior School to a 2 form entry primary school with an admission number of 60 into reception class each year; and proposal to expand secondary provision at Guiseley High School. All with effect from September 2015.

 

Part B: Outcome of statutory notice on the proposal to expand Farsley Westroyd Infant and Nursery School and to raise the upper age limit from 7 - 11 and the proposal to expand Farsley Springbank Junior School and change the lower age limit from 7 - 4 with effect from September 2015.

 

Part C: Outcome of consultation on the proposal to expand Broadgate Primary School from September 2015.

 

Part D: Outcome of statutory notice relating to the proposal to open a specialist provision at Moor Allerton Hall Primary School for pupils who are deaf and hearing impaired from September 2014.

Consultation process

As per statutory requirements. Public consultations were carried out for all proposals. Parents, staff and governors of proposed and neighbouring schools, prospective parents, local residents, ward members, Diocese, MP’s, trade unions, parish councils and other relevant stakeholders were consulted in respect of proposal A. Statutory notices were published in the YEP and displayed at the schools and surrounding area for 6 weeks in respect of proposals B and D and 4 weeks in respect of proposal C.
