Request for approval for the creation of additional positions on the PPPU and Procurement Unit organisational structure

 

 

 

Approval is sought for the creation of posts on the PPPU and Procurement Unit organisational structure in relation to the delivery of the Primary Basic Need Programme, the Waste Programme, to deliver cross-council projects focussed on the Best Council objective of 'becoming a more efficient and enterprising council', and to ensure compliance with statutory requirements under the new Department for Communities and Local Government code of practice in relation into Data Transparency.

These responsibilities and duties cannot be delivered by existing staff within the service as they are fully resourced on other projects.

The combined salary costs of these posts including oncosts mean that this decision falls into the classification of a key decision as it will result in the authority spending over £250,000 per annum.
