Approval for an interim contract with Creative Support for the Independent Living Service for Older People and to extend the contracts with Making Space Waterhouse Court, LFHA Physibility and Age UK Mental Health Aftercare services.

Approval to waive Contracts’ Procedure Rule 9.1 in order to enter into interim contract arrangements with Creative Support for the Independent Living Service for Older People for a period of 12 months with the option to extend for a further 12 months.  Request approval under Contract Procedure Rules 21.1 to enter into the twelve month extension period to the existing contracts with Making Space for the Waterhouse Court service, LFHA Physibility service and Age UK Mental Health Aftercare service.  These approvals are sought in order to maintain service provision during the course of a review of the services to determine future commissioning requirements.

Consultation process

Consultation took place with Creative Support service users in August 2014 and feedback was positive.  Service users were very satisfied with the service they received. Consultation with service users of the Making Space Waterhouse Court, LFHA Physibility and Age UK Mental Health Aftercare services is currently taking place. Stakeholder consultation is also being carried out as part of the review process.
