Extension of existing contract for Touchstone Consortium's Healthwatch Leeds for 1 x 12 month period from 1st April 2016 to 31st March 2017 under Contract Procedure Rule (CPR) 21.1

The Director of Adult Social Services is recommended to approve the extension of the current Healthwatch Leeds contract (reference LCCW225311) under CPR 21.1 for 1 x 12 month period to run from 1st April 2016 to 31st March 2017.

The contract has an annual value of £416,000, of which £183,394 comes from the Local Reform and Community Grant made available to Leeds City Council by the Department of Health. 

The Commissioning Officer will liaise with the Programmes, Projects and Procurement Unit (PPPU) to oversee the implementation of the extension of the existing arrangements before they expire on 31st March 2016. 

Healthwatch Leeds provides people with a voice on health and social care services in Leeds and beyond. It helps the people of Leeds to get the best out of their local health and social care services. Healthwatch Leeds provides a vessel through which people can influence the delivery and design of local services for both those who use them, as well as anyone who might need to in the future.
