To seek authority to procure a new "Mentally Healthy Leeds" Service

To seek approval to procure a new service to deliver public mental health approaches specifically communities with identified need. Mentally Healthy Leeds” will address gaps in the city around good mental health promotion and reducing inequality. It will consist of three main components including mental health awareness and capacity building, insight and advocacy needs, and targeted community development.

The key themes will reflect all priorities (suicide and self-harm prevention, stigma and discrimination, mental health promotion).

The new service will start on the 1st April 2018 and replace existing arrangements designed to historic needs and requirements.
