Long Term Leases for 3rd Sector Community Led Housing Organisations

1. Approve a recommendation to terminate existing lease arrangements listed in confidential appendix one between the Council, GIPSIL, Canopy and Unity HA.

2. Enter into new 99 year leases at Less Than Best consideration with GIPSIL and Canopy to enable them to secure additional finance and enter into a programme of acquisition and renovation of privately owned empty properties across the city.

3. Delegate authority to the Director of City Development to approve terms of the new leases at Less than Best consideration based on a peppercorn rent calculated at £1 per annum per property
