3 If so, to formally pass the following resolution:-
RESOLVED – That the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of those parts of the agenda designated as containing exempt information on the grounds that it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that if members of the press and public were present there would be disclosure to them of exempt information

Health as a Licensing Objective PDF 604 KB To consider the joint report of the Chief Officer Elections and Regulatory and the Director of Public Health considering Health as a fifth Licensing Objective under the Licensing Act 2003. The report highlights that local health bodies have been a responsible authority under the Licensing Act since 2012, with health evidence limited to the existing ‘protection of children from harm’ licensing objective. The report also considers how the introduction of a fifth health licensing objective would provide Public Health with a stronger voice when objecting to licence applications and would allow health data to be used to directly address health harms in the Council’s Statement of Licensing Policy.
