The refresh (update) of the Children and Young People's Plan

The Children and Young People’s Plan (CYPP) is periodically updated, or refreshed, to ensure that it remains relevant to improving outcomes for children, young people, and their families living and working in Leeds.  The CYPP requires approval at Full Council as it sits in the Budget and Policy Framework and will therefore be exempt from call-in. Executive Board are being asked to refer the CYPP to Full Council for adoption.

Consultation process

An online consultation ran from 07 November 2022 to 12 December 2022.  A ‘child friendly’ session plan was provided to youth groups and schools.

 

Consultees

This was a public consultation; targeted communications were sent to elected members, Children and Families staff, school governors, headteachers, and young people’s groups.  Posts were also shared on social media sites.
