Purpose:

To authorise expenditure to support the required works to facilitate the permanent expansion of Cottingley Academy Primary School.  This is required to fulfil the aims of the Learning Places Programme which is necessary to ensure sufficient pupil places. An agreed budget limit of £1.4m will support the proposed development.

Decision:

The Director of Childrens & Families agreed to:

 

1.  Approve the expenditure of £1,437,000 from capital scheme number 32450/COT/000 via a grant agreement to financially contribute towards the construction work and associated costs for the expansion of Cottingley Primary School.

 

2.  Note that the breakdown of project costs, highlighted in point 1 above, are detailed within section 5.5 of this report.

 

3.  Note the programme dates identified in section 4.0 of this report, in relation to the implementation of this decision, represents the critical path for project success and must be adhered to where possible. 

 

4.  Note that the officer responsible for implementation is the Head of Service Learning Systems.
