The Chief Officer (Highways and
Transportation):
i) noted the highway works as outlined in Section 2.3 and as shown
on drawings 70038464-WSP-HGN-J27-DR-CH-01_06 and
70038464-WSP-HGN-J28-DR-CH-01_01 attached;
ii) approved an injection of £5,735,000 into the City
Development Capital Programme to be fully funded by Highways
England;
iii) gave authority to incur expenditure of £4,725,000 works
costs and £1,010,000 staff costs to be fully funded by
Highways England;
iv) gave authority to complete the detailed design, tender the
works through the Highways Term Contract – Option A and
implement the works as set out in Section 2.5; and
v) approved the undertaking of the implementation of schemes at
Junction 27 and 28 of the M62 to improve capacity and reduce
congestion.
