Purpose:

Authority to procure 2 Contractors for the Multi Trades Civic Contract.

Due to 2 of the 4 Contractors on the existing Multi-Trade Contract ceasing to trade, 2 x contractors are urgently required under a new secondary contract to support LBS on the Multi Trades Civic programme of work. This procurement will cover for the loss of the 2 x suppliers for a period of one year from 1st July 2019.

This contract will be an independent, secondary contract running alongside the existing Multi Trades Contract.

The contract value will £1,500,000 per annum with no extension

A full procurement exercise will be undertaken for a new Multi Trades Civic single contract to commence on 1st July 2020.

It is likely that a call off from this Framework may be over £250K

Decision:

The Director of Resources & Housing approved the compliant and competitive procurement tender activity where bids will be evaluated based on the proposed 60/40 price/quality split to establish a framework contract with up to 2 contractors for a term of 11 months with no option to extend with an estimated value of £1,500,000.00 per annum.
