The Chief Officer (Highways &
Transportation)
i) gave authority to incur expenditure of £68,000 for a
capital scheme to carry out appraisal and develop an Outline
Business Case for a flood alleviation scheme at Potternewton
including obtaining the necessary permits and approvals for the
scheme, funded from Environment Agency grant £50,000 and LCC
capital borrowing £18,000; and
ii) noted that a further report will be submitted for Highways
Board review in early 2020 to gain approval to submit the Outline
Business Case to the Environment Agency and to give authority to
incur expenditure detailed design and construction of the
scheme.
