Repurposing of a further 9 beds at the RecoveryHub@EastLeeds and 10 beds at Dolphin Manor as step down beds for people who have dementia

19/11/2020 - Repurposing of a further 9 beds at the RecoveryHub@EastLeeds and 10 beds at Dolphin Manor as step down beds for people who have dementia

The RecoveryHub@EastLeeds is a Better Care Fund (BCF) funded service which works alongside the 190 CCG commissioned Community Care Beds (CCB’s), providing a recovery service for people who have been in hospital.
Dolphin Manor is a residential home funded by Adults & Health and provides long term support to older people.

Covid-19 means that there are system flow (from LTHT) challenges and a gap in the provision of step down beds for people who have dementia and whose needs are not currently met in the CCB’s. Adults & Health, Care Delivery Service have been approached by the Clinical Commissioning Group to meet this gap and provide:

• A further 9 beds at the RecoveryHub@EastLeeds, Seacroft
• 10 beds at Dolphin Manor, Rothwell

These beds are to be implemented from Monday 16th November 2020 for a period of 6 months initially.
