Forthcoming Key Decisions

This page lists the key decisions due to be taken within Leeds City Council over the next few months. Details of each key decision will be published below at least 28 clear days before the decision is due to be taken

What is a 'Key Decision'?

A key decision is an executive decision which is likely to:

  • result in the Authority incurring expenditure or making savings over £500,000, or
  • have a significant effect on communites living or working in an area comprising one or more wards.
  • Article 13 of the Council's Constitution provides more details about which decisions will be treated as key decisions.

    How to get more information about a particular key decision

    The agenda papers for Executive Board meetings, and the documents being considered by officers taking key decisions, are available five working days before the decision will be made through the Council's website.

    The contact details of a lead officer are provided for each key decision listed below. Please contact the lead officer directly if you wish to obtain copies or extracts of any other listed documents, or if you wish to receive details of further documents as they become available. Sometimes the papers you request may contain exempt of confidential information. If this is the case, the lead officer will explain why it will not be possible to make copies available.

    Forthcoming Key Decisions

    15/03/2019 - Authority to procure 2 x contractors for the Manufacture, supply, Installation and Refurbishment of City Wide Passenger & Goods Lifts

    Seeking approval using the OJEU process for procurement of 2 x contractors for deliver, manufacture, supply, install and refurbishment of City wide Passenger & Goods Lifts from April 2020 for a total of 5 years on a 3+1+1 Contract.

    All planned work against the previous approved Key Decision for City Wide Goods & Passenger Lifts will be completed by December 2020 and this procurement is required to carry out the next five year phase of the capital plan.

    08/03/2019 - Authority to procure multiple contractors to provide ongoing support to the LBS Housing Roofing Programme when existing contracts expire in November 2019

    Seeking approval for the procurement of multiple contractors to provide ongoing to the LBS Housing Roofing Programme to include Tile, Slate (including gutter cleaning), Felt & sheeting inclusive of any ad hoc specialist roofing materials.

     

    This Procurement will be a consolidation of two single existing contracts (Tile & Slate, and Felt & Sheeting) into one single contract for all materials.

    Existing contracts are in place until 30th November 2019, with a provision to extend for a further period of up to 3 months, to allow this reprocurement to be undertaken.

    The estimated value of the combined new contract will be £800,000.00 per annum.

    This new contract will run for 3 Years with an option to extend for a further 12 months at the sole discretion of the Council.

    08/03/2019 - Authority to procure multiple contractors to provide ongoing support to the LBS Housing Electrical Work, Repairs and Services programme once existing contracts expire in September 2019

    Seeking approval for the procurement of multiple contractors to provide ongoing support to the LBS Housing Electrical Work, Repairs and Services programme once existing contracts expire in September 2019.

    Existing contracts are in place until 30th September 2019, with a provision to extend for a further period of up to 3 months, to allow this reprocurement to be undertaken.

    The estimated value of this contract will be £600,000.00 per annum.

    This new contract will run for 3 Years with an option to extend for a further 2 periods of 12 months each at the sole discretion of the Council.
