The Council identified a number of suppliers who can provide Children’s Centre Nursery Business Management Software as an “off the shelf” solution, and invited four suppliers to demonstrate their proposed solution. Three suppliers accepted the invitation.
Each supplier demonstrated their solution to members of the Children’s & Families Service and also submitted written responses in relation to the Council’s functional and technical requirements.
After completing a thorough review of each of the solutions, it was determined that the proposed Children’s Centre Nursery Business Management Software Solution from Connect Childcare Group Limited most closely met the Council’s requirements and offered best value for money.
The award of a contract to Connect Childcare Group Limited for the provision of a Children’s Centre Nursery Business Management Software Solution, for a period of three (3) years, from 10/06/2021 to 09/06/2024 is essential to support the Little Owls Nursery business in the delivery of high quality childcare services across the city.

To accept a grant offer from the government’s Green Homes Grant and enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tees Valley Combined Authority, who are administering the fund on behalf of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).  This MoU commits the council to improve some of the least energy efficient properties across all tenures, with a total expenditure of over £500k, which must be delivered between April and December 2021.

c) approved the adoption of new highway construction on land highlighted on the Adoption Extent Plan (ref: B2334-JNP-90-ZZ-DR-C-2004 P01) attached at Appendix 4, so that it can be added to the Council’s maintenance regime.
d) gave authority to advertise a notice under the provisions of Section 90C of the Highways Act 1980 in order to inform the public of the new speed cushions on Fawcett Lane pursuant to Section 90A of the Act, and if no valid objections are received, for the works to continue as advertised; and
e) gave authority to incur expenditure associated with the advertising of Section 90C notices estimated at £2000, expenditure associated with the construction, checking and supervision of the traffic calming highway works estimated at £5000, and any related staff and administrative costs, all to be fully funded by the developer through the Section 278 Agreement.

To award a contract to Flexiform Business Furniture Limited (Flexiform) under the Council’s existing Supply And Delivery Of Office Furniture And Related Design And Installation Services Framework Agreement. Flexiform are the sole provider under the Framework. The specification will also be varied at the point of call-off, as there is a need for additional items in order to fulfil the Council’s commitment to providing accessible furniture for all staff.
