held by way of a long leasehold interest. The property is in
decline and the site has been identified for housing development.
The site has previously been declared surplus. The Chief Asset
Management and Regeneration Officer has approved: (a) The terms
provisionally agreed for the acquisition by the Council of the
leasehold interest and (b) That the cost of the acquisition be met
from the Council’s Housing Revenue Account (c ) A
recommendation that the cost of demolition be met from the
Council’s Derelicts and Nuisance Programme budget, approval
for which to be sought by way of a separate Design and Cost
Report.
