The Chief Officer (Highways and
Transportation):
i) Authorised, subject to public consultation, the detailed design
and implementation of a scheme to introduce a 20 mph zone in the
Meanwood Park and Woodlea area, Meanwood as shown on drawing number
TM-24-2220-CON-01a;
ii) Gave authority to advertise and introduce a Speed Limit Order,
Traffic Regulation Order and 90c notice to implement the measures
as shown on drawing number TM-24-2220-CON-01a;
iii) Gave authority to incur expenditure of £36,000, which
comprises of £26,000 works costs, £8,000 Staff fees and
£2,000 legal fees, all to be funded from the LTP Transport
Policy Capital Programme; and
iv) Requested the City Solicitor to:
a) Advertise a draft Speed Limit Order, to introduce a 20 mph zone
in the Meanwood Park and Woodlea area, Meanwood as shown on drawing
TM-24-2220-CON-01a;
b) Give authority to advertise a 90c Notice for the implementation
of traffic calming features (cushions, humps and tables) as
required under the Highways Act 1980; and
c) Advertise a draft Traffic Regulation Order, to formalise
existing school keep clear entrance markings on Tongue Lane,
Meanwood, outside St Urban’s Catholic Primary School and
Cardinal Heenan Catholic School.
