iii. Note that Authority to Spend was approved for capital of £278k and revenue of £157k on 14/06/16 for enabling works (temporary accommodation) to facilitate the permanent expansion.
iv. Note a separate DCR for the main works will follow in late January 2017.

When Public Health transferred to the Council, the existing PCT contracts held with the third sector, GPs and pharmacies were reviewed and new 3 year contracts were awarded, which are due to expire on 31st March 2017. Since the transfer, Public Health has been undertaking a structured approach to re-commissioning public health services to ensure a high quality and value for money solutions are achieved.
This decision is seeking approval to award new contracts to some existing third sector, pharmacy and GP providers from 1st April 2017 to maintain service continuity and to provide additional time for Public Health to participate in their strategic reviews. The contracts with the third sector organisations deliver a range of services including women’s, street workers, travellers and for public mental health. The GP and pharmacy contracts provide locally enhanced services (LESs) to directly support people with their substance misuse and sexual health.

The Director of Adult Social Services approved the recommendation for the second 1 x 12 month extension of the current contract for Advocacy Support and Services with the Advonet consortium (reference YORE-96DJ4Q). The extension will commence 1st April 2017 and run until 31st March 2018. The annual contract value is approx. £1,001,228 and provisions are available to cover this within CCG budgets. However, negotiations are currently taking place with Advonet to explore further cash efficiencies on the Adult Social Care funded elements, so this figure may be lower.
The Commissioning Officer will liaise with the Programmes Projects and Procurement Unit (PPPU) to oversee the implementation of the extension of the existing arrangements before the expiry of the existing extension period on 31st March 2017.
