Purpose:

The adoption of the East Leeds Extension SPD, which establishes the development framework for the delivery of the East Leeds Extension for circa 5,000 houses, a spine road and associated community uses and facilities, in accordance with Policy H3.3A.33 of the Unitary Development Plan (Review 2006).  The SPD also establishes the funding recovery mechanism for the East Leeds Orbital Road (ELOR).

Decision:

The Chief Planning Officer:

 

i)  Noted the contents of this report and the associated consultation statement.

 

ii)  Adopted the East Leeds Extension Supplementary Planning Document in the form annexed to this report pursuant to section 23 of the Planning and  Compulsory Purchase Act and section 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 (with tracked changes removed).

 

iii)  Approved the publication of the adopted East Leeds Extension Supplementary Planning Document and associated documents in accordance with the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012.

The draft SPD has been consulted on in line with Regulations 12 and 13 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, which included local people, stakeholders and local ward members.  No further consultation is proposed.
