The Director of City Development approved the
appointment of Nicholson & Co. Ltd to a JCT Design and Build
Contract for the refurbishment of the Town Hall Organ under CPR 9.5
due to the specialist artistic nature of the works and critical
timelines required to ensure the financial viability of the scheme,
in the sum of £1,469,620.00 to commence on 5th July 2021.
This report is a Significant Operational Decision as a consequence
of a Key Decision giving authority to spend £1.8m from the
Town Hall Organ Scheme 16996/THO/000 injected into the programme in
February 2021.
