Decision details

The Director of Communities & Environment:

a) Noted the current and ongoing work undertaken across the council to support disabled people and to make services disability accessible.
b) Endorsed the continuation of the council’s approach to tackling disability inequality and improving disability inclusion.
c) Endorsed work to develop a cross council action plan on Disability Equality with an annual progress report to be considered by Executive Board in March 2021.
Responsibility for the recommendations and the development of the Disability Equality Action Plan will rest with the Director of Communities and Environment.
