Approval to facilitate an early termination of our current contract with Virgin Media O2 UK Ltd . (VMO2) via the alternative CCS Framework RM6261 (Mobile Voice and Data Services Lot 1).
The reason for the decision is to facilitate a significant saving and obtain better value for the Council through the CCS Framework RM6261. This approach is being proposed in full consultation and support of VMO2 and the CCS Framework provider.
The decision maker has approved the recommendations set out in the report attached with effect from the decision date.

Consultation has taken place with IDS Senior Management to consider the most effective and flexible way IDS can facilitate this transfer and the implications of that from a service perspective. PACS and Legal have been consulted on the approach and have provided support on terms of making the contractual transition.
Crown Commercial Services have been consulted as well as the supplier who are supporting the decision.
