To consider the report of the Assistant Chief Executive (Corporate Governance) regarding arrangements for a forthcoming review hearing in respect of the Sports Cafe, and specifically the number of witnesses which may be called

The Licensing Sub-Committee met to consider evidence and procedural matters which were to form part of a review of the Premises Licence for the premises known as ‘Sports Café’ 123 The Headrow, Leeds, LS1 5RD due to be held on 6^th December 2007.

The Sub-Committee resolved to allow the following:

Witnesses for the Police:

• PS Fullilove
• PC Coward

Witnesses for Sports Café Group Limited

• James Solotti, Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS)
• Kevin Bradley, Licensing Consultant

In relation to the order of the hearing the Police would present their case first followed by questions. Sports Café Group Limited would then present their case followed by questions. There would be no cross-examination but questions would be allowed through the Chair. Submissions would be allowed at the end of the hearing with the Police speaking first. Facilities for playing a DVD would also be available.
