The Standards and Conduct Committee is
responsible for promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct
by members and co-opted members of Leeds City Council. As part of this duty the Committee advises the
Council in relation to the adoption, revision or replacement of the
codes of conduct for members and employees of the Council.
The Committee may establish a Consideration
Sub-Committee to consider and determine allegations that a member
has failed to comply with the Council’s code of conduct, or
that a member of a parish council in the Leeds area has failed to
comply with the Parish Council’s code of conduct. The Sub-Committee would consider whether any
action needs to be taken in relation to a failure to comply with
the code, and can make recommendations on what action might be
appropriate.
Security Notice
As the result of a security review regarding
Full Council and Committee meetings, there will be an increased
security presence at Leeds Civic Hall.
As a condition of entry to Full Council and
Committee meetings in Civic Hall, bag searches and the use of metal
detector wands will be taking place. We may also ask visitors to
the meeting to remove coats and jackets for searching.
We will also require any banners and signs to
be left outside of the viewing gallery / meeting room – there
will be a designated place to store these by reception.
Thank you for your understanding.
