The council has been approached by the Leeds
Hackney carriage Joint Trade Council to add 50p on the fare for
hackney carriage journeys in the city.
The council has engaged/consulted on the requested fare
increase.
The Chief Officer Elections and Regulatory gave approval to
implement the revised fares.
The council received four objections to the proposed fare increase,
and all objections have been responded to and the issues addressed.
