To approve provision of additional housing under the Local Authority Housing Fund (LAHF) Round 2 for those unable to secure their own accommodation.

 

 

29/08/2023 - To approve provision of additional housing under the Local Authority Housing Fund (LAHF) Round 2 for those unable to secure their own accommodation.

TheChief HousingOfficer:

a)  Granted approval to supportthe council’s planto providea further 11 homesunder theLocal AuthorityHousing Fund Round 2 and toaccept theDepartment forLevelling Up,Housing andCommunities (DLUHC) grantof £1,188,000 whichwill partfund theacquisition costs.

b)  Granted approval tosupport the purchase of tenproperties under the resettlement scheme element.

c)  Granted approval tosupport the purchase of one propertyto be allocated to a household under the temporary accommodation element.

d)  Granted approval to inject and give Authority to Spend for a total of £2.97m into the HRA Council HousingGrowth capital programme to fund the 11 acquisitions.
